Are more Americans insured today than before healthcare reform?

We don't know. Really. There is no definitive, authoritative resource to find the answer. We will continue to do our best to uncover numbers specific to Minnesota enrollments, through MNSure, Wisconsin enrollments through healthcare.gov as well as nation-wide numbers. In the meantime, here is a good indicator of the difficulty we will encounter as we strive to report accurate information.

Contra White House, Obamacare Exchanges Enroll Roughly 5 Million Uninsured, Not 11.4 Million

Since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was implemented are you spending $2,500 less (per year) for your health insurance as promised?

Not likely. Unless you qualify for Medicaid, MNCare or a substantial Federal Tax Credit, you are probably paying more this year than last year for your monthly premium. Additionally, cost-sharing, in the form of deductibles, coinsurance and co-payments are substantially higher, on average, today, than before Obamacare.
